What course should you pursue to build a career in agricultural biotechnology?
Bachelors degree
There are two year and four-year programs specializing in fisheries, poultry science, animal science, dairy science and plant science. Those interested in studying plant science can opt for entomology, crop nutrition, plant pathology and another allied course. Those aspirants interested in studying animal science can study animal physiology, anatomy, and other systems associated with production and animal care.
Masters program
A master’s degree can focus on specific agricultural biology sub-disciplines like entomology or any interdisciplinary sector comprising two or more sub-disciplines like weed science and plant pathology. Students who want to pursue a master’s degree must clear a bachelor’s degree.
Doctoral degree
Aspirants who want to further higher studies can opt for a doctoral degree. The time needed for finishing this program varies for every candidate. However, dissertation works and examinations are pretty standard before conferring a degree.
