Vacancy for Postdoctoral Scientist at C-CAMP 2023. Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) is a Dept. of Biotechnology (Govt. of India) initiative and a not for profit organization based in Bangalore. We act as an enabler of Bioscience Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship by providing Research, Development, Training and Services in State Of The Art Technology Platforms. As a part C-CAMP’s mandate of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, C-CAMP has created and fostered an entrepreneur-friendly culture in and around academic/research environment through its involvement in seed funding schemes for Startups, Entrepreneur Mentorship program and Bio-incubation facility.

What are the Key Responsibilities?

i) Designing and executing Translational research projects and protocols for different Discovery to Innovation Accelerator (DIA) projects.

Perform experiments, collect and analyse data.
Maintain accurate record of all the experiments and provide ready access to all data to the reporting authority.
Conduct literature reviews as per the requirement of the projects.
Participate in project meetings, seminars, Laboratory meetings and other lab activities.
Maintain confidentiality of the project, workflow.
Prepare detailed progress report, presentation and other articles for reporting authority.

ii) Collaborating and complementing a larger team of professionals, working on existing projects at DIAand other members at C-CAMP.
iii) Travelling occasionally as per project requirements.
iv) Undertaking relevant training on additional techniques required for project execution and subsequently training the team.

What are the Educational Qualification(s) for Postdoctoral Scientist)?

1. PhD in any discipline of Life-sciences or Engineering (with inter-disciplinary work in life-science).
2. A strong track record of publications/patents.
3. 0-2years’ postdoctoral or industry experience for Translation Postdoctoral Scientist and 3-5years’of Industrial experience for Senior Translation Scientist.
4. Exceptional candidates who have submitted thesis towards grant of PhD will be considered for Translation Postdoctoral positions.
5. Candidates with any National Level fellowship certificates (e.g.; CSIR-JRF, UGC-JRF, GATE, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, etc) will be given preference.
6. Candidates with experience in Healthcare and Agricultural applications are preferred.
7. Demonstrable understanding of Intellectual- property management and commercialisation is desirable.

What is the Experience Required for this Job?

The position is on Contract basis and a consolidated salary, based on the merits (experience in similar work and qualifications) of the selected individual will be offered.
