Vacancy for Senior Research Fellow at National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology 2023.
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Fellow (one number) under the time bound Coconut Development Board (CDB) project on “Value addition of coconut milk through in situ production of monolaurin and its evaluation as health promoting molecule”. This recruitment is subjected to terms and conditions in force in ICAR for such appointments. There is no provision of absorption/re-employment in ICAR-NIANP/ICAR after termination of the project. The service of person, who engaged, will automatically stand terminated with the termination of the project.
The appointment is purely on temporary basis and liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof. Interested candidates for the said positions may mail their resumes to “[email protected]” on or before 12.01.2023 for initial screening. Candidates short-listed for interview will be intimated on or before, 14.01.2023. The interview is tentatively scheduled on 17.01.2023 at 10.00 AM at the Administrative Block of ICAR-NIANP, Adugodi, Bengaluru.
The short listed applicants are expected to report to the interview board with duly signed application form in the prescribed format, two sets of self attested copies of certificates and testimonials along with original certificates. The candidates will not be paid any TA/DA and will have to make their own arrangements for travel, stay etc. for attending the interview.

What are the Educational Qualification(s) for Senior Research Fellow?
Master’s degree in the relevant subject with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with two years of experience.
OR
Master’s degree (3 years Bachelor degree and 2 years Masters degree) in the life sciences with NET/GATE/BET qualification with two years of experience.
Preferred subjects: Animal Nutrition/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology or related subject
Duration of the project:
Three years
What is the Age Limit for this post?
Upper age limit 35 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH and women candidates will be extended as per ICAR rules.
Monthly Compensation:
Rs. 31,000+HRA per month. HRA will be provided, if no accommodation is provided (as per ICAR guidelines).
What is the Experience Required for this Job?
- Research experience on probiotic, fatty acid analysis, enzyme study, gut microflora analysis, bioinformatics etc.
- The experience should be supported with published research papers in Internationally reputed Journals.
General Information
The qualification, remuneration and other terms and conditions will be as per ICAR Guidelines (circulated vide F.No. Agril.Edn./6/27/2014-HRD dated 30.07.2019).
