Vacancy for Project Associate at M S Swaminathan Research Foundation 2022. M S Swaminathan Research Foundation is inviting applications for a Project Associate-1 (One position). The M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) was established in 1988 as a not- for-profit trust. MSSRF was envisioned and founded by Professor M. S. Swaminathan.
The Foundation aims to accelerate use of modern science for agricultural and rural development for development and dissemination of technology to improve lives and livelihoods of tribal and rural communities. MSSRF follows a pro-poor, pro-women and pro-nature approach and applies appropriate science and technology options to address practical problems faced by rural populations in agriculture, food and nutrition.
MSSRF is present in six states of India.

What are the Educational Qualification(s) for Project Associate?
Masters Degree in Agricultural Sciences/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Botany with minimum 60% marks.
What is the Age Limit for this post?
35 years
What is the Experience Required for this Job?
Candidates with experience in working with field crops (physiology) and basic molecular biology methods (cDNA cloning, real time PCR) will be preferred.
How to apply this Job?
The above position is purely on temporary, contractual basis with a maximum duration of three years. The position is co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, and will be extended based on the performance of the candidate. The candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular Ph. D program with University of Madras provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
Remuneration :
(i) Rs. 31000/- + 24% HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
(ii) Rs. 25000/- + 24% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Terms & Conditions:
- Those candidates, who are already employed in any organization, should bring “No Objection Certificate” from the present employer
- Those candidates already working in MSSRF should submit their application through their reporting authority.
- The candidates have to produce all the original certificates at the time of interview for verification.
- Upon selection candidates are expected to join duty immediately.
