Geochemist

They are the experts who combine the knowledge of chemistry and geology for exploring several natural resources. They study deeply about several physical aspects of our planet. A master’s degree in Chemistry is vital for fortifying a job as a Geochemist. Some of the top organization where Geochemist are in demand are Geological Survey of India, WAPCOS, Tmi ikiloop etc.

Clinical research associate

They assist in gathering and coordinating data from various studies and trials that are carried out in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Moreover, the verdicts from testing of various items, medicines and medical processes are then evaluated. Then they are prepared, examined and processed. The salary range varies between 5 – 7 lacs.  On completion of MSc Chemistry, one can apply for UC CSIR net exam and if qualified can apply for various posts such as project assistant, junior research fellow, research associate and several others in some of the research institutes under Government sector.

Teaching Profession in Government sector after M.Sc in Chemistry

Candidates after completion of MSc in Chemistry can look for employment in various universities that are under Government. Some of the universities are University of Kerala, Jawaharlal University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Delhi University etc. There one can join as lecturers after qualifying for Net examination. Candidates with B.Ed. degree can also look for teaching career in some schools.

Laboratory assistants

In various scientific laboratories, they carry out mechanical, diagnostics and technical studies. Their main work involves the collection of samples, conducting research and various experiments on the sample they receive. Their salary ranges between 2 – 5 lacs.
