As per a report published on Benzinga, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna Set To Get FDA Nod For Omicron Booster Shots As Early As Wednesday 

Booster shots for Omicron, a variant of COVID-19, be available in the U.S. soon after Labor Day, Politico investigated Monday.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will probably approve the booster shots of Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna as early as Wednesday as per the reports.

The article also reported that Pfizer/BioNTech’s omicron booster would likely be authorized for people,  ages in years 12 and more & Moderna’s booster for adults, with age group 18  years and more.

The vaccines are expected to be authorized as a single dose in those people who completed their primary vaccination.

Benzinga  reported that U.S. government bought 175 million doses of the booster for distribution, noted by cdc.
