What are the Key Responsibilities?

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)/ JUNIOR RESEARCH BIOLOGIST (JRB): To work in developing protocols for the identification of Galliformes species based on DNA & morphological features (especially feathers) and writing reports under the supervision of the Pl.

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW: The selected candidate is expected to undertake extensive field surveys in the high-elevation regions of the southern Western Ghats for the laughingthrushes and assist the Principal Investigators in other project activities

What are the Educational Qualification(s) for this position(s)?

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)/ JUNIOR RESEARCH BIOLOGIST (JRB): Masters’ degree with minimum 55% marks in Forensic Science/ Biotechnology/ Biological Science/ Life Science/ Genetics/ Genetic Engineering or any other related subject from a recognized University.

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW: Masters’ Degreein Zoology I Wildlife Science I Wildlife Biology/ Environmental Science/Life Science from a recognized University with a minimum of 55%marks

Monthly Compensation:

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)/ JUNIOR RESEARCH BIOLOGIST (JRB): Rs. 31000 + 16% HRA (AS JRF for NET/ GATE candidates) or Rs. 25,000 + HRA (As JRB for non NET/GATE Candidates)

What is the Experience Required for this Job?

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)/ JUNIOR RESEARCH BIOLOGIST (JRB): Research experience in a reputed institute/laboratory having working knowledge of wildlife research methodologies and forensic appl cations using morphological and/or DNA based species identification. Candidate with NET/GATE qualification will be given preference.

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW: Research experience on birds of southern Western Ghats.
