The position is temporarily for a period of six or upto March 2023, whichever is earlier and will be terminated on completion of the period.

What are the Educational Qualification(s) for this position(s)?
Master degree in Zoology / Life Sciences/Wildlife Science/ Environmental Sciences or any equivalent qualification with Zoology as a major subject in graduation level from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks.
What is the Age Limit for this post?
Age shall not be more than 28 years as on last date of application. Upper age limit relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-Non Creamy Layer (NCL)/Women/ Physically Challenged applicants, as per Govt. of India rules.
Monthly Compensation:
Rs. 12,000/- + Admissible HRA (As per Govt. of India rules)
What are the Preferred Skills required for this Job/Position?
Research experience in taxonomy, systematics, zoology or allied subject, field survey experience in wildlife, wildlife photography, knowledge on Computer and basic field data collection.
How to apply this Job?
The candidate selected is expected to undertake extensive field surveys in the mountains, forests, wetlands and coastal and marine areas including protected areas and eco-sensitive zones of Goa, and therefore, required to be physically fit to undertake research in terrain and hostile conditions. JRF will be will be posted at WRC, Pune or Goa for longer duration also, based on requirements.
General Instructions:
- Candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of their qualification and experience. Mere possession of qualification and experience may not entertain a candidate called for interview or selection.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email and speed post for appearing before an interview committee, on a short notice, to be held at WRC, ZSI, Pune. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
- At the time of the verification of original documents (even after selection), if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to wilfully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, such applicant will not be considered for selection and due action will be implemented.
- Candidates selected will be liable to posted as per the requirements, including field sites, and should be able to join the duty immediately within the prescribed timeline after the selection.
