Opportunity for Junior Research Fellow at National Institute of Plant Genome Research. What are the Educational Qualification(s) for this position(s)?

Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019, and have a Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences with at least 60 % (or equivalent) marks can apply.

What is the Experience Required for this Job?

Candidate with experience of working with molecular biology techniques such as RNA isolation, cDNA isolation, qRT-PCR analysis, and tomato tissue culture. A candidate who is having documented proof of these experiences will be given preference.

General Information

The Fellowship amount for the above position is at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST. The above position is completely on a temporary basis with a maximum duration of three years. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, which can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and the discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The position may be terminated at any time by giving a month’s notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
