What are the Key Responsibilities?
The candidate is required to handle Laser Raman Imaging System (LRIS). Sample preparation & analysis, Maintaining data log records, training students. Interaction with IIT users & non IIT users. Routine maintenance of instrument.
What are the Educational Qualification(s) for Project Technical Assistant position(s)?
BE/BTech in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation
or
MSc in Physics, Chemistry or Life Sciences or equivalent degree.
Monthly Compensation:
Level PR-A3: Salary range from Rs.25200 to Rs 50400 + Rs.5000.00/- Out Of Campus Allowance (if applicable) p.m.
What is the Experience Required for this Job?
Prior experience in operating and handling Laser Raman spectroscopy or similar instruments will be an added advantage.
What are the Preferred Skills required for this Job/Position?
Knowledge of computer applications for documentation and presentations, specifically Microsoft Word and Power Point, and good oral and written communication skills are desirable.
General information:
The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
