Vacancy for Young Professional at National Research Centre for Banana 2023. Applications are invited to engage 01 (One) Young Professional – I, purely on contractual basis under ICAR – All India Co-ordinated project on Fruits (Banana) [Virology Lab]” at ICAR – NRC for Banana, Tiruchirapalli – 620 102.

What are the Key Responsibilities?

Brief nature of duties :

(i) To look after the field experiment and test samples for episomal and eBSV in the samples and nature observation
(ii) Testing of leaf samples using serological and molecular protocols
(iii) Analysis and interpretation of results
(iv) Report preparation and maintenance of data

What are the Educational Qualification(s) for this position(s)?

First class in M.Sc. Agricultural (Microbiology / Plant Pathology / Biotechnology)
Or
M.Sc. (Microbiology / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Botany)

Monthly Compensation:

Rs.25,000.00 (consolidated) per month (as per ICAR guidelines)

What is the Experience Required for this Job?

2 years research experience on plant viruses and expertise in the ELISA, PCR, expression and purification of viral proteins

General Terms and conditions:

Age limit: Minimum age 21 years and Maximum age 45 years for Senior Project Assistant. Age relaxation shall be applicable for the post as per rules.
The above position is purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. There is no provision for re-employment after termination of project. The selected candidate will not have any right for claiming pay scale or absorption against any regular post being vacant on a later date at this institute.
Candidates who have passed the required qualifications only be called for the interview.
Candidates attending the Interview should neatly type the application in the format prescribed in MS-WORD – TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT – 12 SIZE and submit the same along with attested copies of educational qualifications, experience and publications etc. through email.
