What are the Key Responsibilities?

Consultant (Plant Taxonomy)

To lead the collection tour Identify the plants collected and their parts for crude drug repository

Junior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy)

Cataloguing & documentation. Macro & Microscopic studies of 100 drugs per year

Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry)

Physicochemical analysis, HPTLC/HPL C/GC profiling, Test for aflatoxin

Junior Research Fellow (Microbiology)

For Testing microbial load

Project Assistant

For helping officers in introducing new plants, their documentation, maintenance of green house and poly house.

What are the Educational Qualification(s) for this position(s)?

Consultant (Plant Taxonomy)

M.Sc. in Botany from recognized University or Institute. Ph.D in the field of Plant Taxonomy from recognized University/ Institute.

Junior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy)

M.Sc in Botany / Pharmacognosy / Medicinal Plants from a recognized university/institution.

Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry)

Essential M.Sc (Chemistry) from a recognized university/institution.

Junior Research Fellow (Microbiology)

MSc in / Microbiology / Life Science / Biochemistry / Molecular biology / Biotechnology or equivalent with minimum 55% from a recognized university / institution.

Project Assistant

Master’s degree in Life Science from a recognized institution.




What is the Age Limit for this post?

Consultant (Plant Taxonomy): 60 years

Junior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy): 28 years

Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry): 28 years

Junior Research Fellow (Microbiology): 28 years

Project Assistant: 35 years

Monthly Compensation:

Consultant (Plant Taxonomy): Rs. 50,000/-

Junior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy): Rs. 31,000 + admissible HRA

Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry): Rs. 31,000 + admissible HRA

Junior Research Fellow (Microbiology): Rs. 31,000 + admissible HRA

Project Assistant: Rs. 18,000/-

What are the Preferred Skills required for this Job/Position?

Consultant (Plant Taxonomy)

05 years working experience in any research project related to Plant Taxonomy

Junior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy)

Skills of drafting, editing of scientific documents / technical reports. Sound knowledge of drag development, pharmacognostical & anatomical techniques, drug standardization, analytical techniques with at least 1 year experience in the field of medicinal plants.

Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry)

Working experience in instruments of organic chemistry (HPLC/HPTLC/GC) and in aflatoxin

Junior Research Fellow (Microbiology)

Working experience in instruments of microbiology lab

Project Assistant

Knowledge in computer applications, can work on MS-office. Plant Taxonomy Background 40 wpm typing speed in English and good communication skill.

Note :
1. The engagement will be purely on contractual basis and no claim for continuance or regular appointment will be entertained.
2. The contract initially would be for a maximum period of one year and may be further extended on year to year basis, subject to functional requirements and also subject to appraisal of the performance.
3. All staff will be subject to the guidelines of National Medical Plants Board / guideline of engagement of consultants in the Ministry of AYUSH. ”
4. The eligibility of candidates will be determined as on the last date of the receipt of application. ‘
5. The short-listed candidates will be called for an interview mostly through online.
6. If called for interview at PCIM&H, No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
7. The last date for receiving applications is 15 days from the date of publication of advertisement. Applications received after the closing date or without the prescribed documents or otherwise found incomplete or not in the prescribed proforma are liable to be rejected and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
8. The Director, PCIM&H reserves the right to accept or reject the the application and postpone or cancel the interview without assigning any reason.
