What are the Educational Qualification(s) for WBUAFS for Young Professional?
MFSc in aquatic animal health, aquaculture or Master’s degree in life sciences with specialization in fisheries, microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, marine biology, or any other related subjects
What is the Age Limit for this post?
35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the date of interview. Age limits are relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
Monthly Compensation:
Rs. 35,000/- per month (consolidated as per ICAR guidelines)
What are the Preferred Skills required for WBUAFS for Young Professional?
Working knowledge in fisheries science, aquatic animal health, aquaculture, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, toxicology, etc
as evident through dissertation/ project work/ research publications. Necessary computer knowledge for recording and analyzing scientific research data.

1) Only Indian citizens are eligible for appearing in the walk-in-interview.
2) Candidates, interested in WALK-IN-INTERVIEW are requested to send the duly filled-in application form in the prescribed proforma along with the scanned copies of certificates in support of age, qualifications, experience, testimonials and other credentials to the
Director of Research and Extension, WBUAFS, Kolkata through e-mail ([email protected]) and carbon copy (cc) to the Principal Investigator of the project (e-mail: [email protected]) within 05:00 PM on 23.07.2022.
The list of the candidates who are eligible for a Walk-in-Interview will be published on the Institute’s website on 27.07.2022. Eligible candidates will also be informed through “Phone” and “WhatsApp”.
3) Incomplete applications or applications received after 05:00 PM on 23.07.2022 will not be considered
4) The Director of Research, Extension and Farms, WBUAFS, Kolkata reserves the right to accept or reject any applications.
5) Candidates who are already working/ or in similar positions should produce no objection certificate obtained from their employer/ supervisor at the time of interview.
6) The selected candidates will be stationed at the Department of Aquatic Animal Health, Faculty of Fishery Sciences, WBUAFS, Chakgaria, Kolkata and will have to conduct extensive fieldwork involving frequent travel, laboratory works and survey of different sites for sample collection.
7) Selected candidate(s) will be required to produce all original documents at the time of joining.
8) The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project subject to satisfactory performance. The selected candidates shall have not a right/claim for regular appointment at the University at any point of time.
