Master degree in Veterinary Sciences or allied subject of biology like (life sciences/ Zoology/ Animal Science/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ physiology/Biochemistry with NET) with a preference in practical knowledge of molecular techniques and/ or poultry management
What is the Age Limit for this post?
Upper Age Limit for SRF is 35 years on the date of interview (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/women candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates as on date of interview). Along with the application, Bio-Data, SC/ST/OBC certificate (wherever applicable) duly attested is to be submitted
Monthly Compensation:
Rs. 31,000 per month +HRA as prescribed by funding agency
Duration of post
Two and half years
(Note: The position is purely temporary, time bound, co-terminus with the project and on purely contractual basis initially up to 31/03/2023. However it may be extended, on satisfactory performance of the candidate, for one year at a time up to duration of project. The engagement of SRF will be liable for termination at any point of time in case of unsatisfactory performance. There will be no provision of absorption/re-employment/regular employment in LUVAS during the duration of the project and after termination of the time bound projects.)
What are the Preferred Skills required for this Job/Position?
- Experience of handling poultry
- Blood collection from animals, serum separation, PBMC isolation
- Knowledge of PCR based assays, and quantitative Real-Time PCR
- Knowledge of ELISA and Immunofluorescence
- Ph.D degree in above disciplines/ subjects and Relevant publications in peer reviewed Journals

Other terms and conditions
- No separate letter for interview will be issued. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
- The candidates should bring self attested photocopies of their academic and other achievements to be submitted along with the application.
- Original certificates shall also be required to be produced/shown at the time of interview
- The position is entirely on temporary basis and may be terminated on/before completion of the project depending on the performance of the candidate.
- He or she will not be the regular employees of the University and would not be entitled for any CPF/GPF or any other benefits admissible to the regular employees
- He/She will be required to produce a medical certificate of fitness from the CMO of this University at the time of joining.
- He/She would report for duty within 10 days from the date of issue of the orders, failing which his/her appointment shall be treated as withdrawn.
- His/Her place of work will be the department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry, LUVAS, Hisar
He/she will be required to executive agreement on non judicial stamp paper of Rs/-15 before he/she is allowed to join the post, if needed. - The appointment will be co-terminus with project. However, in case the work and conduct is not found satisfactory, the services can be terminated at any time after giving due opportunity of being heard to the concerned employee. If the selected candidate wants to leave, he/she can do so after giving one-month notice in writing to the University/department.
- On account of paucity of funds, the services can be terminated.
- The performance of the SRF engaged in the project must be reviewed six monthly by a team comprised of PI, PI(PMU) and Director of Research (DR). Accordingly, the extension of their term will be given.
- Those persons who are already in service must produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their present employers at the time of interview.
Interview will be held on 16 SEPTEMBER 2022 at_10.30A.M. in the office of Director of Research, LUVAS, Hisar. No separate letter for interview will be issued. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview. Original certificates will be required to be produced/shown at the time of interview. (Please also bring certified true copies of the original certificates to be submitted to the University).
