How to be a virologist?

To be a virologist, you need to complete your master’s degree in virology. Eligibility criteria are

  • Make sure you have selected science subjects in the 11th and 12th standards.
  • You should complete B.Sc degree with a science background such as microbiology, life science, biotechnology, MBBS, etc.
  • Once you have completed a bachelor’s degree, go for a master’s degree in virology.
  • To obtain the best career opportunities, you can select to do a Ph.D. in virology.
  • You need to obtain a license to practice as a virologist in India. This you get by completing a minimum of 3-6 years of virology research.
