Eligibility for pursuing an undergraduate marine biology a course such as Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology:

  • You must clear 10+2 in science with biology as extra subjects.
  • A minimum of 55% is required in 10+2 exams
  • Few colleges offer direct admission depending on cut-off.
  • Specific colleges carry out entrance examinations to choose candidates for a marine biology course. On clearing the exams one would get admission.

Eligibility for pursuing a postgraduate course such as Masters in Marine biology:

  • Candidates must complete a bachelor’s degree in Life sciences like botany, marine biology, microbiology, biotechnology etc.
  • A minimum of 55-60% is required for a bachelor’s degree. Those universities that offer M.Sc/M.Phil/PhD carry out their entrance examination for allowed admission.
  • Selection depends on how the candidates perform in the entrance examination.
