BACKGROUND
These are the powder which is applied an teeth to provide cleanliness and freshress. Calcium carborate acts as a polishing agent. Sodium laurye sulphate acts as a detergent and foaming agent. Flavour is added to improve the consumer acceptance.
Aim: To prepare and submit 10gm of tooth powder.

REQUIREMENTS
Chemicals: Calcium carborate,
Tricalcium phosphate,
Sodium laurye sulphatc (sls),
Sodium saccharin,
Flavour.
Apparatus: Mortor & Pestle,
Sieve 60#,
Weighting balance.

PROCEDURE
Finely powdered material were weigh accurately and passed through sieve 60#. Flavour was initially distributed in small quantity of Calcium carborate (20 – 30%) and it is then added to remaining bulk. Sodium lauryl sulphate was added along with remaining quantity of Calcium carborate. All the ingredients were mixed by simple mixing. Finally the face powder was prepared, labelled and submitted.
